About Us

The Swaziland Revenue Authority (SRA) is a semi-autonomous revenue administration agency, established through the Revenue Authority Act No. 1 of 2008. The Authority was declared operational by the Honourable Minister of Finance Majozi. V. Sithole on the 1st January 2011 and operates within the broad framework of Government but outside of the civil service.

The SRA is structured as a corporate entity and strives for operational excellence and efficiency. It is headed by a Commissioner General, Mr Dumsani E. Masilela and is organised on functional lines – this link provides more details. The SRA has a Governing Board headed by the Chairman, Mr Ambrose Dlamini – you may view details of the Board and its corporate governance on this site.

In furtherance of our mandate, as well as in working towards adopting best practice, the SRA is a member of various international organisations, such as the World Customs Organization; the Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators and the African Tax Administration Forum. Alliances with established revenue agencies such as the South African Revenue Service (SARS), the Lesotho Revenue Authority (LRA) and the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) have also been pursued to this end.

Our MISSION To provide an effective and efficient revenue and Customs administration, driven by a high performance culture that promotes compliance through fair, transparent and equitable application of the law.

Our VISION is to be a modern, credible and customer centric Revenue Authority.
