PROCESSING OF DECLARATIONS
IN THE CENTRAL PROCESSING HUB
All Importers and Exporters of goods in Swaziland are hereby notified of the processing of declarations in the Central Process Hub (CPH) with effect from 1st April 2017.
All declarations submitted through the customs system (ASYCUDA World) system will now be processed centrally, meaning the current practice of following-up on declarations at the points of entry will come to an immediate end. This arrangement is meant to improve operational efficiency and also to protect the trader from arbitrary searches or interventions in line with the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA).
In addition, operational hours for the CPH will be from 6am to 12 midnight. This therefore means any declarations lodged outside the working hours will be processed the next day.
You no longer have to part with cash on importation of goods purchased from VAT registered shops in South Africa. READ MORE
